Recently praised for her “ripe mezzo of polished sheen and warmth,” mezzo-soprano Claire Shackleton is gaining recognition for her colorful tone and magnetic stage presence. Her appearances during the 2015-16 season include her debut with Hawaii Opera Theater as Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Maddalena in Rigoletto with the Jefferson Performing Arts Center, and Jackie B. Kennedy in the orchestra workshop of David Little’s JFK to be premiered by Fort Worth Opera.
