Special Project
Repertoire

This newly created show is based on a three-hour phone conversation between Marlene Dietrich and Ute in 1988 in Paris, 30 years ago.  In this tribute, Ute tells us Marlene's story, along with singing memorable songs from the many chapters of her life, from the early Berlin cabaret years to her fabulous, later Burt Bacharach collaborations.

This concert is sort of "The Best of Ute Lemper," as it touches on all the different musical chapters of her main repertoire, yet also leaves a lot of space for open improvisations and great moments of virtuosity. It also celebrates Ute's inspiration and play with Jazz and ethnic musical influences.
